I am really happy right now....

I found out yesterday, officially, that the Inuyasha anime series REALLY is ending on September 13 with episodes 166-167. But that's not the good news. Yesterday, August 20, on Anime Scramble, a radio show in Japan, Producer Michiko Suwa of Inuyasha said that the FIRST SERIES of Inuyasha was ending on September 13. So this means that there will most likely be an OVA series produced. I say OVA and not second series because YTV (the TV station showing Inuyasha in Japan) will be replacing Inuyasha with the anime Black Jack. However, IF there is an OVA series created, Suwa said it would be AFTER the Inuyasha Movie 4: Crimson Hourai Island. So, I have high hopes....

Sigh.... Well, on a lighter note, I finished seeing the Vampire Princess Miyu OVA. It was good. I really liked it. I think the animation, backgrounds, and music were just as good as, if not better, than the anime series. The only real downer are the voices. Miyu's voice is..... 0.o wierd/annoying to say the least. But I like the story. You wouldn't believe how much more different it is from the anime story line wise. So I won't tell you. I also saw the Ranma 1/2 OVAs. They're really funny, and cute. I can tell where Rumiko Takahashi got her ideas for Inuyasha.

I'm set to be getting the animes Ai Yori Aoshi and Love Hina soon. (My sister's in a lovey-dovey anime mood at the moment....) Ai Yori Aoshi seems it'll be okay, but Love Hina's what worries me. They say it's one of the funniest anime of all time..... But does it have a plot? Sigh..... I can only hope....

I am both happy and sad at the moment. You will soon discover why.

Now, I really didn't want to say this until I had something official to look back on and link to, but, oh well. I'm sorry everyone, but the anime Inuyasha is ending. The last episodes will be 166-167, "The Two's Bond-The Use of the Last Shard", which will be a double episode special in Japan on September 13 of this year. However, the manga continues. So you can still have all the Inuyasha you want still. But this also sadly means the anime ending will most probably be really blunt. And since I read the manga as well as see the anime, I can well vouch for that. Sorry guys, but it's official... more or less. Well, maybe they'll make OVAs or something. But for sure the Inuyasha 4 movie, "Guren no Hourai-jima" will be released in Japan on December 23 of this year. But that's still a cheap consolation prize. Maybe they'll give a better ending in the movie, I hope...

Well, aside from that sad news, I saw both Serial Experiments Lain AND Marmalade Boy. They were both really great, each in their own ways. Lain was covertly symbolic as I knew it was, but it was stll awesome. The animation was good, and so was the plot if you were willing to follow it. And as I suspected, my sister hated it. Marmalade Boy was...0.o. It was cute, I guess. It reminded me a lot of His and Her Circumstances because of the high school love relationships. But in all honesty, it's basically an animated soap opera. Ironically enough, there was a soap opera based on in it in Japan, too....

I finished the books I was reading. I was happily pleased with their endings. Both were AWESOME. My gratitude goes out to Ann Rice and Murasaki Shikibu. They've given me great books to read, and great reference and inspiration to base my own books and stories on.

Well, guess that's all for now. On the side, I'm also going to get the Vampire Princess Miyu OVA soon. I know, I'm quick to latch onto another anime. But I really have high hopes for it. Like I said, this is where the story began. Unlike most animes that begin with manga, then series, then ova, this anime went backwards. It was first based on OVA, then manga, and then three other series, the main of which is Vampire Princess Miyu. I really think it'll be great.

Well, later for now.

Well, I'm happy, though kind of hungry.... But you don't care, so I won't bother with details.

I saw Vampire Princess Miyu. So COOL!!!!! The animation, backgrounds, music, all of it, is amazing. The only downer is that it has no plot. I watched the TV series, which as I said, is relatively plotless. It's the OVA that's really the plot filled story, though the TV series is still very nice. My favorite character is Larva. He's so cool....

This weekend I'm going to watch Serial Experiments: Lain. (Marmalade Boy still hasn't arrived, ye)I saw one episode of it once a long time ago. It really caught my interest, but at the time, one episode was all I could find. Well, my sister's borrowing it from a friend and so now I can watch it in its entierty. Hopefully it'll be good. I'm not so sure my sister'll like it though. It has a lot of covered symbolism which can make it kind of hard to follow, something she detests in anime. But Big O is another great symbolic anime that I definitely reccomend.

The books I said I was reading last time are still being read. Though I'm not complaining. They're both really great and worth the time. I'm almolst finished with The Vampire Lestat and over half done with The Tale of Genji. So I'm moving along.

I hope to redo the layout of my site soon, you know, to reflect some other anime. New background, music and all. Hopefully it'll turn out well. And soon.

I've finally written the fics I said I would some day. There's two. One for Vampire Princesss Miyu and another for Inuyasha, of course. The VPM fic is called Impossible Emotion and the IY fic is called Steel Destiny. IE is a good original that may be easily followed by even a novice of the anime. SD is an alternate universe fic that's sketchy to begin with, but levels out on chapter two. So give them a shot if you pass by ff.net or mediaminer.org.

(AU: Hazeru, if you read this, I DARE you to go and read them. You know my web names, just go for it!)

Well.... Guess that's all for now.

The ever-optimist-anti-pesimist me is depressed. How wrong is that? I won't bore you with the details, but still. I won't waste time on talking about me for the meantime, so let me just review my current anime and books which is all I have to my name to be honest....

Anime-wise, I've seen some of the finest as of late. Vampire Hunter D is a masterpiece. Not so much the first one animation wise, but one has to take into consideration what year it was made: 1985. But the plot's what really takes you for a trip. The second one, Vampire Hunter D: Blood Lust is both unmatched animation and plot. It's first-rate with three dimensional backgrounds seamlessly placed alongside it's semi-2-d animated characters. Think Aeon Flux/ Reign the Conqueror looking charaters in really detailed scenery. If you get the chance, SEE IT. His and Her Circumstances is also really great with all of it's character interaction. The story itself is classic. Love-Hate relationship blossoming between two at first semi-bitter rivals, but it branches out well into average problems any and all teenagers face which is the real reason it's even worth commenting on. It's a rare anime that touches upon the subjects Kare Kano does; it's an even rarer one that does it well. So this is another must see. The only real let down is the ending. You would've gotten so used to the great character ineraction and then suddenly you're thrown into a semi-manga style episode which leaves much wanting and non-stop pauses to keep up with the conversations.....

I'm also set to watch the animes Vampire Princess Miyu and Marmalade Boy. Both well acclaimed as well. I've had the priveledge to listen to the Vampire Princess Soundtrack and it really is enveloping. The music is an obvious heart wrenching reflection to the anime which only makes me want to watch it more which is just as well since I got the Vampire Princess Miyu Series today..... Marmalade Boy's on the way, though.

In books, I'm most definitely not umfortunate. I'm reading both Genji Monogatari, The Tale of Genji by Murasaki Shikibu (supposedly the oldest known novel in existence written in 978) and The Vampire Lestat by Ann Rice. Both extremely contradicting in style, I know..... But they're both great. You just have to have the patience and will power to read them through, since they're both pretty long... ( Tale of Genji: over a thousand and The Vampire Lestat: 481).

So yeah.... I'll get around to reviewing the latest additions once I get the chance. On a second note, I finished my paper so I'll be writing more often, and more importantly, my computer's been fixed so I can actually see my comments!!! Though, now that I look there aren't that many.... Well, later.

Sorry I've been out of it for so long. I haven't had much of a chance with a computer as of late...

I finished Pandor from the New Vampire Tales along with Vittorio, the Vampire. They were both awesome! You could really tell Rice went all out looking up the information for the books. They're just that detailed. Pandora takes place in the time of the Roman Empire during the reign of Augustus Ceasar and afterwards. Vittorio is in the early 1400's in Italy during the reign of the  Medici, primarily Cosimo de Medici and afterwards. And they have great endings, too, so you can't go wrong if you read them. I might move on the Lives of the Mayfair Witches, but I'm kind of hesitant. They don't seem to have the same allure as the Vampire Chronicles. If anyone's read them and found them worth the time to read, tell me and I'll try to give them a chance.

I finished the 3x3 Eyes and Inuyasha DVDs I got, and they were wonderful.... The ending to 3x3 may seem remotely corny to some, but I personally found it appropriate and fitting. I throughouly damn the evil producers that funded the DVDs I bought because they left me on such a jacked up cliff-hanger!!!!! Marketing, I understand, but still.... WHY?!?!?!?!

I finally started my English paper and I love how it's turning out. It's about the novel Night by Eli Wiesel. I think it's required for ninth graders, correct me if I'm wrong. Well, here's my intro, tell me what you think:

Night is a rare novel that brings to light a time of awesome pain, strife, torture, suppression, and terrible emotion in one life. Throughout, there are countless recollections of an ideal life brought to an abrupt halt into an accursed period of forced servitude. In our first introduction to Eli, we see a bright beacon of a spirit in a world of equal light, chance, and opportunity. As we move forward, this shining sun is set into a harsh twilight, sputtering vainly to remain when it is hopeless to do so. And, finally, we are shown a fallen night, nothing more than a tattered soul, alone in a world of equanimity.

I personally like it a lot, but then again, I'm without a doubt biased. I'm open to criticism!

Well, aside from this, all of my writing's more or less on hiatus, because I HAVE TO FINISH THIS.  I'll try to update slightly more, but I make no promises. And if you've left a comment and I don't comment back or something, please don't think I dissed you, but something seriously wrong with my computer so I may not be getting them because they may not even show up on my computer. So if this has happened to you: Sorry, but thanks a lot for the comment!
